• Badger Youth Camp is run by the Wisconsin Army National Guard. It is for the children (ages 8-17) of military parents and takes place every June in Wautoma, WI.
  • On September 6 of this year, we are having a fund-raising event at Delafield Post 196 to raise money for the children who otherwise would not be able to attend this important camp. There are in excess of 10,000 children in this State alone, whose parents must leave them for duty.
  • Several volunteers are needed to make this event successful.
  • Blackhawk Helicopter
    • We are planning to have them arrive around 2 PM that day. They will land on the baseball field and, once secured, allow everyone to examine it!
    • But, during landing and take-off, we must secure the field. So, I’m in need of 6 people who can secure three entrances to the field for this short period of time. (3 upon arrival and 3 upon departure.
    • Motorcycle Games
      • Motorcycle Slow Race
        • We need 2-4 people to run this event. It will take place on the grass and have a starting line and a finish line. The motorcycles (2 wheeled only) will align their front tire on the starting line and, as soon as they move forward, a stop-watch begins. The motorcycle that takes the longest time to reach the finish line (WITHOUT FEET (or anything other than tires) TOUCHING THE GROUND) wins!
        • These folks will collect a small entrance fee and determine prize money.
    • Motorcycle Balloon Toss
      • Several people will be needed for this event. We’ll have balloons that need to be filled with water
      • Motorcycles (any number of wheels) will ride two-up.
      • The passengers will have one water-balloon. As two motorcycles ride toward each other, the passengers must toss their balloon to the other passenger.
      • The passenger/driver that stays dry, wins!
  • Parking
    • Since this event is open to all motorized vehicles, we’ll need parking attendants to keep the parking lot organized and safe.
    • This will be very important early in the day and then when vehicles return – anticipated around 2 PM.
  • Miscellaneous
    • We will have basket raffles, a silent auction, food and music. So, there will be other tasks that need to be manned.
  • PLEASE consider volunteering for this exciting event. Since we need to be efficient in our planning, I’m asking anyone interested in committing to these activities, let me know as soon as possible.
  • You can sign-up for whatever you wish and select the time(s) you wish to work. Just let me know by sending a note to:
